Omicron Pi, Sigma Chapter at the University of California, Berkeley!
I am so incredibly proud to represent our chapter of 136 women as
Chapter President. Since being elected to this position in December
2011, I have had many amazing opportunities to share my experiences
as a member of AOII Fraternity, Sigma Chapter, and the Cal Greeks
community.
In February, I hopped on a plane to
AOII HQ in Brentwood, Tennessee along with our chapter’s Vice
President of Communications, Paige Xu, for the most anticipated AOII
International event of the year – Leadership Academy! This
year’s theme was “Tell Me About It!” and focused on how we can
share our AOII experiences through modern means of communication such
as websites, blogs, Facebook, and Twitter. Paige and I had a
fantastic time meeting sisters from all over the United States and
Canada, shopping at the AOII Emporium, and learning from guest
speakers like Dr. Mark Taylor. We
were so excited to also have the opportunity to meet Allison Allgier,
our AOII International President. It was a wonderful
weekend that gave us tools, resources, and feedback to share with our
chapter and Leaders’ Council. For example, it inspired Paige to
create this blog you’re reading now and update our chapter’s
website – check it out!

I hope that we can use this blog to
share our chapter’s experiences with our AOII sisters and our
